The Damned fueron pioneros del punk británico, los primeros del movimiento en grabar un disco y cruzar el Atlántico. Su fama fue, sin embargo, más bien un culto, alimentado hasta hoy por su fe inquebrantable en la energía que entrega y transmite la música. El mismo director del documental Lemmy sigue a la banda por tres años, y consigue que integrantes de The Clash, Sex Pistols, Pink Floyd, Blondie y Guns ‘N’ Roses rindan su tributo frente a la cámara. «Con ellos siempre da la impresión de que algo malo está por suceder», dice un colaborador. Y así llevan cuarenta años.
